1999 S70 T5 turbo fan bearing squeal after shut down?

So I am almost sorted with this car and today I noticed after cold start and shut down, there is a metallic squeal coming from the engine bay near the firewall side. I was hoping it was the blower motor, but I pulled it out, turned engine off and on, the blower motor stopped and then I heard the squeal...do I assume it's the turbo? Is there anything else I need to check out before taking it apart?

Also my engine starts with a 1616...which turbo do I need to get? It seems like the ones for sale are for after engine 2348...

I seem to recall the T5 runs on a T16 turbo.

It could be a vacuum bleed down or even AC pressure equalizing in the system. The turbo will be barely turning at idle so it should not screech on key off

Here is the video of the noise, this is a cold start and immediate shut off. When I did this with the hood open, the radiator fan was stopped, blower motor was stopped, its almost 20 sec after engine shut off you can hear the squeal (this one is actually on the quieter side, some are louder)

Also it looks like my turbo is part number 9454562 which is the 13T...Since this car has been in my family since birth, and no one remembers ever changing the turbo (only 96k on the clock), maybe the early serial engines (B5234T, serial 1616347) didn't have the 16T which is why the 16T is for engines after 2348XXX?

I think I nailed this one per poster reply in the Volvo today thread….replacing AC accumulator solved this noise issue.

That is interesting. I'm surprised it has a 13T as I thought that was fitted to the LPT engine, maybe it was the 13G. I had a manual 98 in the UK which had a 250 bhp motor as standard. I'm surprised a 13T has the puff for that, but I know the Euro spec cars had higher outputs.
