The biggest problem of the engine is you can never rebore it. I mean the sleeves were thin as-is and any more it would like crack at the 170hp or lower level.
They can also not be re-sleeved with just any sleeve but darton. Most that tried the cheap option of generic sleeves saw them sinking.

Volvo p80 p2 blocks are 400-500κ engines with valve jobs needed at 200-250k
I’m running enough P80s that I can recover my parts cost and value if I total one amd get thst value back in parts
Another 3-5 years I’ll probably go EV with a used Tesla
