I greased all the mating surfaces, the subframes moved as far apart as possible, and I invested into a dedicated impact socket that I cut flush to have a good grip on that shallow nut. It takes me very little time to remove the driveshaft and the flange to have the best access to everything

Here is the counter hold tool and the puller. The 5 years old flange should come off easy.

With a high torque air impact wrench the flange nut is no task to remove. New oil pumps come with a new flange nut so now I have two used spare flange nuts.
