Volvo s70 trunk release

Post by perhss70 »

Since I'm home this week I would like to tackle as many issues as I can with the volvo.
I'm used to opening the trunk with the key. The trunk release button located in the door panel doesnt work. The gas cap release works. Any insight of what might be the problem? I would like to fix it since it's an inconvenience when picking up friends with bags.
Thanks in advance

Check the wiring harness in the trunk where it comes out from the side panel and connects to the LH trunk hinge. These wires often break with age there.
