2002 V70 XC. Instead of pulling the plug directly at the fuel pump why not just pull the fuel pump fuse or relay? Thoughts on removing the Schrader valve core and using the plastic screw cap with a hole drilled and red nozzle straw inserted? Will seal it of course or use adhesive lined shrink wrap to keep the two from pulling apart.

Well, the Schrader valve setup will work. How about pulling the fuse or relay to the fuel pump to start the car? Will it run or are there outer circuits involved to keep the car from running?

I run high quality premium gas and add Lucas upper cylinder lubricate with injector cleaner about every 3rd tank. I've never had an injector problem in my 23 years of owning the T5.

An advantage of removing the injectors, is you can see the spray pattern if you use this cleaning method. I tried to clean some 240 Volvo injectors this way, but ended up getting remanufactured injectors. It then ran great.

Found one injector with open circuit so just ordered a set of generics. Purchased the car maybe a month or two ago and has been sitting. Purrs like a kitten now, perhaps also due to having only 88K miles. Was able to get it out of the driveway and turned around as it would stumble and stall before. Will get it Register and Insured Monday so I can put it on the road for further Stage 0.
The good thing is I now have 4 good though used spare OE Bosch injectors for future troubleshooting.
