Right hand drive is not too hard. Left hand shifting is different, but you can learn. Left hand driving lanes can get you confused at times. I had some practice in Scotland a couple times.

It’s easy driving in Scotland. On all our single track roads in Scotland, it is not the cars you need to worry about, it is the unfenced fields and wayward sheep wandering onto the roads on blind bends. They were never schooled on looking left, right and left again before crossing the road, nor checking while crossing.
Auto trans are hard to find and about double the price of manuals at the rental places. Having been in Canada for over 20 years now, I have almost exclusively driven autos as we live in the city. Also now in my aged state, knees and hip issues make driving a stick car in traffic almost painful. Back in the old country where I mostly drove manual cars for the joy and the roads were not too busy, it makes returning there easier to drive a stick as my brain cell automatically adjusts to driving on the right and left hand stick changes.
