Flare nut size for brake lines

I am replacing all of the brake lines on my 2002 V70 XC. I will also replace the brake fluid during that time. Are there any special tools I would need other than flare wrenches and something to bleed the brakes with? Are the flare wrenches required? I read on this site that an 11mm one is used for an older 850. It seems that the stores near me have all sizes except for 11mm. Is this size needed for my volvo?

Wonder why you're replacing them? They last forever even in New England.

Yes, use flare nut wrenches. A metric set is worth having and should have all the sizes. They have a different size on each end.

Do you know if the 11mm is needed? The wrench set at harbor freight has pretty much everything except for 11mm.

That's brake hoses =) Lines are made of stainless steel if I'm not mistaken.

I used just regular wrenches, but flare ones would be easier.

Propane torch is useful.
Front hoses are not too difficult
Rear hoses can be a nightmare at both ends (where it is attached to the metal lines and at the caliper itself)...so if you don't have to replace the rear hoses, leave them alone.
