1998 v70 t5 Replaced PCV now auto transmission light flashing

Post by Grover365 »

I just finished replacing my PCV and after starting for first time, auto trans light is flashing and a repeating (not knocking) noise has started. I assume i forgot to plug a sensor or knocked a tube loose. Any Ideas before i pull it all apart again?
thanks guys

TPS sensor on throttle body?
Problem is that TCM codes won't go away until read & cleared with specific tool like Vol-Fcr or 850 OBD II app.
You might get away with plugging the sensor and remove battery cables for a few minutes since TPS code is shared with both ECU & TCM.

Could be a knock sensor...but it shouldn't affect TCM.

Update: spent months trying to get a scanner to work myself. 3 ELM OBDII sensors and a Dice Clone + VIDA and nothing. Volvo dealer quoted $400 AUD just to scan. took it to an independent auto electrician today, they scanned diagnosed and fixed it for $450. it was the throttle position sensor, they said it was out of range and are replacing it.
