charging issue

Car wasn't charging, had alternator rebuilt. the plug from wire harness was damaged. got new one put it in and everything seemed fine Had 14.2v when running. but radio did not work. checked some fuses. when i started it again got the charging warning on dash. checked only 11.7 volts when running. is there a relay or fuse that would explain radio not working along with intermittant charge issue?
