It's not really important to know the difference. Unless you run 302mm brake discs ...

.
Used the 8 Liter fluid extractor on the 2002 V70 XC.

1) Changed the oil and filter with no plug removal. Extracted 6 quarts. Used a combo of left over oil. 2 qt. each of Rotella T6 15W40, Genuine VW 0W20 and Castrol Titanium 0W-40. Should cover any weather .
2) Swapped the very new Volvo OE power steering reservoir from FCP in the 2003 S80 T6 with the older unit in the 2002 V70 XC. The extractor tube was able to go deep into the large line from the pump so no spill or drip when removing both hoses.
3) Extracted 2 quarts of transmission fluid from the yellow dipstick hole and replaced with Havoline Multi-Vehicle Synthetic fluid. Only had two quarts so consider it a cleaning / diluting fluid for the future flush. The transmission is slightly smoother though it didn't have issues.
4) Changed the oil cap washer. The old one was brittle and cracked in two areas. Came of in two pieces.
5) Remove the air box and cleaned and replaced with FCP air filter. Also, borrowed a clip from the 2003 S80 T6.
6) Swap the covers of the Fuse and ECM box.
.
Blessings,

BKM

First car show of the year at the Riverside Museum.

Mine is outside near the centre of the window...

The sun shone all day so when I returned home I decided to get the other car out to allow me to clean the winter aftermath off the garage floor.

My wife and son visited the the Riverside museum last year on a trip back to the 'old country'. They were amazed at the museum and the vehicles it had there.

Like MoVolvos I have one of those fluid extractors but it has never been used until today! Now it has been blooded and removed an overfill of coolant as we thought we had an air lock after swapping a leaking thermostat seal out so had add a little too much fluid. Worked great!

I and many other car enthusiasts feel the museum isn't anywhere near as good as the old museum it replaced, the new museum is for 'transport' which covers everything from bicycles to buses, trains, boats, ships and anything in between. The car display seem to have been an afterthought, they are on a wall, way to high to be seen and are more arty farty than a display of vintage cars. Maybe they should have incorporated some bunjee cord to allow us to see the cars

I recall the original museum and loved to go there but that was several decades ago now. It was in a beautiful old building. At least you still have an automotive museum!
