How did you end up with one North American DOT headlight and one European headlight?
I am now confused. Which one is American? Could explain something too
The original driver side MOT last year did fail due it become too spreaded light which right side still has old too but it "barely" passed. It wont anymore make light pattern but makes just.. light bulb.

I might need adjust the new one still as its new thing for me and i had put electric adjustment there which took moment how moving worked. Though old timers sees in first sight what i dont.

Well higher up in seller / manufacturer in ladder tries confirm:
"All products are produced according to ISO 9002/TS 16949 certificates and environmental certificate ISO 14001. All lamps designed and offered in European markets have an ECE certificate."

Maybe i need just order other side to be similar and not decades washed out either.

On any newer car that would've resulted in a complete crack lol

Still on my original windshield, almost 30 years in.

Now, when I enlarge the picture, I believe I was mistaken. I can see the lines in the glass better. Assuming left hand drive, it was the passenger side that I thought to be American spec. I apologize for causing confusion. Maybe the glass is pitted? Both look more yellow than I'm used to seeing, also. Do you have tinted bulbs?

The passenger side (original -- hella) i agree is yellowish and has too lines in glass ( americans doesn't? new info for me ). The driver side is actually clear and no no i was confused already how much difference new one had. It makes car irl look like ten years newer due it and forcing me to buy passenger side as well now

Bulbs can have slight yellowish look. I had some night breaker lights years ago which were more white but i kept cheap bulb line ever since again.

The bright silver coating on the reflector gets dull and tired over the years, especially in places where the headlights are always on. There does not seem to be any other solution except replacement. Plus the car will look much happier.

Inspecting based on light pattern... meanwhile here, you'll pass inspection as long as there is light being emitted from the front end. Doesn't matter if it's a headight or a flashlight.

Ha! I need tell you then too that they here inspect even colour of your turn signal bulbs. If their yellow layer has been burned off (so its more white flash) you get fail notice on paper about it if they spot it.

That is something that drive me nuts though! I hate seeing peeled amber coating on turn signal bulbs.
