What are these seals in head set? 99 S70 GLT 2.4
I may regret asking this question if the answer turns out to be obvious, but I can’t place these seals that were included in the Victor Reinz head gasket set I purchased. Are they not used on my application?

The 5 of, look like injector seals. No idea of scale. Remember some kits have parts that you may not need in your engine configuration.

Now I can see this on my PC, the large 5 washers sit around the recess for the injectors and the 5 small are the injector seals.
Do the not supply any parts number or ID list with these kits?

No they don’t.
Good practice to match your stuff to the kit as you disassemble

Here are better photos.
The 5 smaller ones look more like grommets.
These items came in a package with the part number shown, but Google returns nothing for this number. And the US Victor Reinz site doesn’t list the number separately.

Like I said, the large 5 rings sit in the well where the injectors sit. I can't now recall if all cars use these or if it was 850's or up to 98 cars. They are like a spacer/seat for the injector body to the cylinder head. AS to the 5 smaller ones, now I have no clue. If they were o-rings then they would likely be injector seals. The square section I have never seen.
The 2 larger o-rings could be from a variety of places. The larger one could be from the seal for the body of the flame trap case. It's size could be also used in a multiple of places. Again it may not be from your variant. The small one again could be from a multitude of places.
Like Abscate says, either leaving stuff in place until you go to return a part to the engine so you can see where stuff goes or bagging and tagging is the way to go on complex jobs.

I used a Fel-Pro kit and also had those 5 large and small o-rings left over. The kit lists "5-fuel injector o-rings-lower" and "5-fuel injector o-rings-upper". You can see those in one of RobertDIY's video on 850 injector seals.
I also had a couple of o-rings left over when I did the head on my V70XC. The Fel-Pro kit also lists "1-air pump" and "1-air injection valve", so the o-rings could be for the air-pump.
