I got a P0455 couldn't find anything so I shut it off to see if it would come back.
Replaced my sicking seat belt and blew the SRS light. My indi (Dennis Auto Aramingo Ave. Philadelphia) can turn it off. Next couple of drives, no codes. Then P0410 and she is running a little rough as well as inhaling fuel.
Other light on the cluster got jealous...Tracks off and ABS light came on last night.
Took a closer look today. There is a hose disconnected, followed it back to the evap charcoal canister. It's coming from the center of the raised square area of the canister. The other hose goes from the lower outer area of the canister and is connected to the purge valve. The hose going to the fuel tank is in good shape. I have a small borescope that gave me a very clear shot of the top of the tank and then followed it all along under the car (her name is MIA)
Dennis replaced the charcoal canister in Oct. 2022. The hoses are clean and supple.
So 1 to the shut off valve, 1 to the fuel tank and 1 to where?
I just cannot figure out where this one goes.

That’s the wrong diagram for your cool kid late 1998 if the evap canister in front of the passenger rear wheel?
The Two fat hoses connect the evap box to the canister shut off solenoid, with one of them open to air at one end ( that allows the shutoff valve to admit air into the system for testing
The skinny hose up front need a rubber hose connecting that hard line to the purge valve which lives on the radiator shroud, driver side.

Hello Abscate, My evap cannister is in the drivers side wheel well area. I'll scour the shroud area again.
Am I missing a nipple on the shut off valve? Are there 2?

There is a hose from the cannister attached to the shut off valve on the fan shroud as visible in this photo. This is a second hose that is disconnected.. Searching for an open nipple, I did find this under the battery tray. I couldn't find anything else...

The purge valve has tow connections, the canister shutoff valve only one, or the second is open to air one on side
Number 11 is the purge
Number 18 is the canister
Number 11 is the purge
Number 18 is the canister
