Solution upthread

Yikes, a primary short can end badly. I fabbed a positive cable cover from a plastic juice drink

In this case the battery appears OK, all codes resolved and no additional or other residual problems noted so far. But, yes, not something one should do "just to see what happens".

I am wondering how to take the cable cover off without breaking it.
