98 850 T-5 no crank with key (Thread now has additional immobolizer info)

My LED works the same way as Misha's. The car came with an extra blank key, maybe it was never used as there should be a chip.

Car was equipped with Guard Alarm II from the factory since there were factory stickers on both front doors windows.
210-211 alarm relay is in it's place.

Parts car from which i removed immo2 box,chipped key and ignition lock acts the same like mine.

I know IMMO2 has as well like more used on IMMO3 has LED outputs but i think on mine is not in use. Can you share IMMO P/N?

The only numbers which are different on a replacement which is now in the car is the one below main part # 96W16.
I guess that should be a key id.

Okay thanks. Though i have exact same P/N and Software on mine so i am now confused what they done there and or check those led outputs are they active on mine and i just missing a wire here.

That 96W16 on label is 1996 year and Week 16. These boxes does not have coded Engine MIN code so can replace them without problems.


There was some footnote about Led configuration on some countries which insurance required led always but i dont have in memory at all details of about it how it did differ.

Yes you can...but you need a matching chipped key with replacement immo2 module.

Actually no need if you can program chips into memory via locksmith way or via PIN code on IMMO2 systems like i shown on video. IMMO3 is another side story on used keys.

This is interesting. After temoving the 210/211 relay (alarm) on my chipped 96 R (Euro spec) I don't have a functioning dashbord led anymore.

I removed the alarm because it almost left me stranded in the middle of the night after the FOB decided not to work properly anymore. Fortunately a previous owner had disconnected the alarm horn.
