2011 Volvo C30 Driver Side door rain leak

Hope to get some guidance here. I have a small drip in my driver side door during rain and I am concerned it is coming in from where the upper door seal presses against the roof rack. On each side of the seal there is a small gap. Could that alone do it? I don't have the issue on the passenger side currently though which is odd.
Would a silicone spray simply be enough to help with the door seals? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thx.

.
How far does that clamp go in? Is it causing the door to close a little harder? Could be forcing the entire door to close lightly so allowing rain to slowly seep in? Get some soft foam as in home insulation and put a small chunk to close the gap and see what happens during the next rain.

Could also be because the driver's door is just a bit looser overall from constant use compared with the passenger so only leaking on one side.
.
Blessings,
