Love at First Sight
I met Inga when she was in her 80s back in 2014. 83,677 to be exact. Although it was her 10th birthday, she hardly looked a day over two.
Since that fateful day, when I got her from the Volvo dealer, she has been a faithful mode of transportation without fail. Not once. Definitely the best car I have ever owned, and I have owned a few.
I just moved to the top of a mountain in the Catskills, and truth be told, although she is an amazing vehicle, I don’t think she can make up here. I was holding hope, but it’s just not going to work. It’s time to part.
During the entire 10 years that I have owned her, I have done everything to keep her in perfect shape, parking away from other cars, religiously, changing her oil and belts, using only Volvo parts. In other words, she did not crawl over the 160K mark. She is in full functioning order with a long life ahead of her. In the last 10,000 miles I have invested no less than $7000 to keep her utility and value as high as possible, right down to the squeaky climate control fan.
If you’ve never owned or driven a 2004 V70R you can always read about it. I think it may be one of the most notable/ historically significant/ collectable vehicles Volvo has ever made… A family car that outruns a Mercedes SL 500 and corners like a Corvette. I still smile from the waves of torque she delivers off the line.
It is with tremendously mixed feelings I offer her for sale.
Almost new Continental tires on focal rims, Best offer over 12,000.
Thanks for your interest.

Beautiful car, ThomR. Fully agree with your sentiments regarding the V70R -- it's a pinnacle of automotive engineering: swaddled in comfort, protected by Volvo's safety obsession, it is as close to a race car as most mortals will ever come.
