Reduced Engine Performance- new code came up

Post by AlanS »

2006 XC70. I have reported this problem before, now it's getting weird: Every morning when I start the car, I get a REDUCED ENGINE PERFORMANCE message. Turn the car off, restart...message goes out. I scanned for codes...I was getting 9400, so I replaced the accelerator pedal sensor. Obviously, this issue continued. Now, I get a code 614b- Camshaft Control Exhaust- faulty.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? What next?

if you have vida it can test the cam sensor when running the engine, mine showed it was slow reacting, fix was an oil change to better oil.

Definitely try an oil change if it is aged
