I just purchased a 1996 Mercedes Benz C220 to replace my wrecked 99 S70, mostly because I thought it was a cool car. It wont' really fill the roll of my S70 very well, but oh well.
I'd like suggestions for a good MB forum. I'm in the US, so I'd like a healthy US member population, given the differences in cars, and local resources. I'm more interested in original-ish car information, not about adding turbos, or "stancing".
The car only has 76K miles on it. I've driven it twice so far. Home from the auction house, and then to go out for coffee. I decided to pull the air filter today, and found a crispy Mercedes filter, and an old mouse nest.... sure which I would have ordered a filter, when I put in a Rockauto order yesterday.
I bought a Mercedes W202.... forum suggestions?

Yes, but in black..... black isn't my first choice since it shows dirt, but it does look nice.

I think you will enjoy the Mercedes. I do not have one like this in my fleet. Benzworld is pretty good, but I find I have to search around different forums to find most info.
When I have to buy dealer parts, i have used https://www.autohausaz.com/mercedes-aut ... des&page=1
Post here if you get stumped or send me a private message. Maybe I will have a suggestion to help.

Congratulations on the Benz. The two quality Benz forums are Benzworld and MBWorld. The funny thing is, your specific chassis might be better represented at one or the other. I spent an ocean of time on Benzworld for my W210 because they had knowledgeable members and a great collection of information. However I found their W212 section significantly lacking, while MBWorld had the passionate members willing to go deep and share info from the Benz computer system (WIS, Workshop Information System). Perhaps Benzworld is better for the older cars like yours.
Check the W202 section on each, look at their total thread count, check their "sticky" pinned informational posts. Maybe you need to frequent both, but I bet one will come out on top.

My experience with forums is to search the preferred source first, but then try the others if needed. Not every forum has all the answers. Sorry, not even MVS!

The challenge I find is deciding on which forum to ask. I don't want to spam and ask multiple forums. That also divides the good information for future people who may be searching for answers. For my newer Benz, I tested asking on my old familiar Benzworld but wasn't getting good responses, so switched exclusively to MBWorld where people were more enthusiastic and willing to delve into their newer cars.
