I found a way using Cloudflare to mostly stop spam user registrations.
It's a challenge on the registration page only. That 8% rate is the successful pass rate of users, humans and bots. The other 92% is bots (and probably some humans who don't care to pass) failing the challenge. It can be as simple as an auto-detect where they don't even have to do a thing.
Yesterday I changed the favicon for the site, so your browser tab will show a more squared icon for MVS, with the wrench facing the correct way. Favicon changes propagate very slowly, so expect this to change for you over the coming days or even weeks. My browser has still not picked up the new design.
