Automatic transmission valve body

I currently have a 1996 850, and a 2002 S60 T5. The S60 does not drive (Goes into gears but forward and reverse do absolutely nothing) Would it be possible to take, A. the solonoids out of the 850 transmission and put them into the S60 to see if they are the issue. Or take, B. the valve body itself and swap it over?

I doubt it. And if the AT innyour 850 works, don't touch it if a manual swap is not in your close future. Rather try a junkyard.

They are different transmissions. Your 850 has a 4 speed Aisin Auto trans and your S60 has an Aisin 5 speed. You would have to do some parts checking to see if the valves are even the same.
