I'll try and check who made the Ford Strut Bearing for the 2008 C30 T5. Was told the C30 Strut Bearing rarely had issues due to it's design so took a chance on not buying a new set. Didn't have much noise or grit feeling. Took it apart and cleaned it with brake cleaner and a brush then repacked it. Worked well and the car is quieter.

The passenger strut had blown out before we purchased it a year and half ago so the bearing was taking a beating / thump when it hit small bumps in the road. Will install the driver's side perhaps today and see how the other side is fairing as the strut is just worn but not bottoming out.

I had Lemforder control arms and ball joints changed on my 04 S60 actually exactly a year ago yesterday. In that time I put about 7-8k miles on it. Here are some pictures of the bushings (just getting under the car - they're still installed. Sorry for bad angles):

The rear bushing is failing - will still work for a while, but it has already plenty of cracks starting. If you lift the wheel to stretch the bushing, you will see the situation even more clearly. www.youtube.com/watch?v=P1QaJbyjr2s
