so i recently picked up a beautiful 2008 xc70, and it has been having some issues.
2 times now its had a "jerk" motion, first time was saturday and i was at a stable speed with cruise control on, 2nd was on monday morning, i was accelerating with no cc on.
neiter time i was able to catch if rpms dropped or anything.
then monday afternoon, it stalled at a stoplight, it felt the same as when newer cars autoshut off when youre at a light. every single dash light came on and i lost power steering, acceleration, and ac. i turned it off and the check engine light stayed on but then once i turned it back on it stayed off. my dad and i looked through some forums and what not, and we figured wed check the ac drain, well it was clogged, and the passenger floor was a little damp, but we blew it out with compressed air and its draining now.
yesterday afternoon, the cel came on as soon as i started my car. i checked my fluids and they all looked good. i attempted to reverse out and just try it out, and it seemed to misfire, it gave a big thunk in the engine bay, so i said nope not driving that and left it in the parking spot at work and got picked up.
came in today and used my cheap little obd2 scanner on it and i got 3 codes: P0018: Crankshaft Position- Camshaft Position Correlation (Bank 2, Sensor A)
P0016: Crankshaft Position/Camshaft Position, Bank 1 Sensor A
C0300: which seems to just be a random misfire? but im not 100% certain.
and a pending C0700 code that seems to be a "Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction"
the 2 crankshaft errors also had a pending one.
it also looks like the car may have had previous "ghosts" given the carfax.
tldr: 2 jerks, a stall and 3 or 4 check engine errors.
please let me know if anyones got any ideas, this is my daily now lol
