Rough start

Post by Bcook203 »

Hello, I have a 2004 xc70. A fee months ago it developed a fuel leak at the pump, I'm now going to replace the pump. But it's recently started to have a difficult time starting, will idle rough at lights, stall, and sometimes the check engine light will flash. I've searched for this and think it's the fuel sensor, or the torque converter solenoid. Does anyone have any input on what is wrong with my wagon. I really love it, and like taking care of it. Thanks for your help.

I haven't yet, I'm not 100 percent convinced it's just the pump.

.
Without codes or scan tool to read engine performance and the ability to interpret, you like the many of us will have to fix what's broken first.
.

PEM won't cause a leak.

disconnect the battery, remove rear seat and replace the pump or seal the cover with gas proof jb weld.
allow 24 hrs to cure.
i glued mine 7 yrs ago, not a drop has leaked since.
do not test the pump until the seat is back in place or you'll set an srs code .
