What is this hose on the rack and pinion specifically?

2007 XC70 Cross Country..
I was advised by a local garage that did an inspection on my car that this hose should be replaced.
It's situated at the front of the R&P.
Anyone with previous experience changing one of these?
What would be the part number or the name. Is it the high pressure hose or the low pressure one?

I would hose it down with Fluid Film or ACF-50 to prevent rust from going further.

Thanks. I'll need to look those up. I'm not familiar with them. I thought maybe a WD-40 product or what I've seen locally (in Canada) a rust convertor fluid...but not those brands...if that's what they are...

Fluid Film or ACF-50 will take longer to wash off than WD-40. You could even take a brush and coat it with grease, need something heavy to stay on there a while.

Yeah, eventually those lines will fail and I'm not sure if Volvo still stocks them?
The good news is if the rack is in good shape otherwise you can fabricate your new lines using a bubble flaring tool and 1/4 or 6mm "cupronickel" tubing.
Not a bad job once the rack is out of the car. Would be a nightmare job otherwise.

The lines are available from the UK, would definitely have to drop the subframe
