Where can I get a safe copy of VADIS and a working DICE cable, even if it is a Chinese clone? Check engine light is on with no engine problems.
Also, all the power windows on the driver side won't work. Tried to look at the cables for wire fraying but can't get the panel off, as it's different from the ones I see in videos. There is electronic response that can be heard when buttons pressed, but no physical response so I'm not sure the cables are frayed. Checked fuses for the windows and they are fine.
Thank you for any assistance.

You can download VDASH from D5T5 free -
https://d5t5.com/
They also sell cables that work with VDASH. But be aware - it’s a “pay as you go” model
You can buy or download VIDA 2014D (the older ‘offline’ version from various places.
The official VIDA is free to download from Volvo but it has steep subscription pricing and you will need a genuine DICE interface
https://www.volvotechinfo.com/vida
If you just need to read DTC’s, you might consider a Volvo-specific scanner like the Foxwell NT510

(Use the Amazon link here on MVS if you buy the Foxwell)

Will the older VIDA work with the Chinese DICE cables from Ebay?

Some of them will. My experience has been hit/miss. The 2014 so-called offline version of VIDA doesn’t check to see if the DICE unit is genuine.
