I found my code, and now i'm asking if anyone knows how to change the radio screen back to "CODE" from "OFF". Does anyone have an idea that could help me?

You really need the radio code tbh . If its the original radio to the car then the main dealer can help you get the code .

Thanks for the quick response, Solutech.

That was my plan and i went by the dealer today but he's closed until Monday. I asked one of my friends and he said i could call the Volvo Parts Dept. and give them my serial # and then wait and they'll give me the code. Would that work?

Before you ring the dealer check your handbooks carefully . My code card wasnt in the wallets but the code was stuck on a post it note in the handbook luckily .

Chances are at some stage someone has noted down the code somewhere .

Even try releasing the radio in the car and checking as people have been known to mark the codes onto the radio itself .

The parts/service dept is very likely your best bet for the code if you cant find it .

The important thing to do now is get the radio back so it shows Code .

Personally Id make your brother sit and babysit it for the 2 hours or so as he locked it out lol .

LOL great tp man but what do you mean by the 2 hours? Yeah i found the code because i was frustrated and was going to remove the radio altogether so i wouldn't be mad i couldn't fix it and sure enough, the code was scribbled on the top of the radio. I didn't catch how to get it back into "code" so can you explain that better?

Turn the ignition key to the first position and leave it for 2 hours or so and the radio should reset to Code .

As a first try , Remove the fuse for the radio . In your fusebox its fuse 7 . That may reset it .

Nothing worse than a locked out radio lol .

i tried that but my cr isnt in the best condition and i think first and second position and merged because i could put it a little turned and the radio turned to off then i turned a little more (no click) and all the lights turned on. which would it be? I figured lights on would work.

Yeah i hear that last line lol. I nearly flipped out on him when i found out

Position 1 doesnt turn any of the ignition systems on . The radio will work blowers etc .

Turn key so radio shows off . Then just sit and wait it out .

All you can do really .
