2006 V70 seatbelt buckle fault

I’m having an issue with the passenger seat belt buckle - the car doesn’t / but does know when the buckle is inserted. I’ll explain…
The issue -rear view mirror ‘pass air bag off’ light comes on with first start up , but then goes off after 5 secs.
Note. Car does not have the seat occupancy sensor fitted but does have PACOS off switch - on side of dash. I also do not have vida/ dice yet - I know I know.
As the pass airbag light goes off , I’m assuming the airbag is on to a different (lower) setting- multi stage etc
When scanning there are no set DTC’s but on utilising a live stream the passenger buckle comes up as ‘low speed’ and when latched ‘wrong signal’
Drivers side states ‘unlocked’ and ‘locked’ in each state.
I have swapped in a test buckle and still the same issue.
Before I fire the parts canon - any thoughts?
Junkyards are not an option in my neck of the woods and dealers prices are the same the world over. I suppose I’d get a better path to follow with using vida and a dice unit ? But hoping a nice person like your self, could look at any info in vida that may help before I go down that route.

I swapped front control arms and immediately both belt buckle signals were lost.
