ECC or CCM intermittently works. Loses all power, no lights or control of the HVAC system. The inside temp sensor is clean of any dust. Everything else works perfectly fine. All lights on dash are fine. Blower works great and compressor blows cool when the system is on. Sometimes it will work as soon as the car is on, other times I have to wait a few minutes. Runs and turns off for a random amount of minutes every time. Seems as the car is warmer the less time it works.
Hoping someone can lead me in the right direction here as I’ve searched far and wide with little results pertaining to the issue I’m having, so I resorted on starting a new thread and I do apologize if there is a solution I haven’t found.

Not a problem starting a new thread. Every situation can be different.
I would suggest if you have cleaned the interior sensor behind the dash by the ECC unit, did you check the little fan on it is working? A 9V battery and a couple of wires can do this for you.
Assuming that works, does your fan work on all speeds? If you turn the system from Auto to manual does the fan work?
If all that is working and then it dies while running, then the most likely issue is the ECC unit has started to fail. A used one to check the issue would be my suggestion. Any junkyards near you? I think up here we pay $25-30 CDN for one. You can return but usually only for a credit up here.
Neil.

The fan does work at all speeds, including auto. However, I haven’t actually checked to see if the sensor fan is spinning, so I’ll have to do that tomorrow. I did find out my local junkyard has two S70’s so I’ll swing by there and trying replacing the whole unit. I appreciate the insight
