Faroe Islands

Post by BlackBart »

I went to the Faroe Islands, for a couple of hours, in my mind. Wayyyy out there - north of Scotland, West of Norway.
But... it rarely freezes except in the hills, and it doesn't get hot. And there's a modern capital city with ancient buildings, modern buildings, narrow lanes, harbours and boats. It is grey and wet, winter nights are long (like Norway), it's green, there are many sheep.

They are Danish - mostly, and Norwegian and Viking. And some ancient Celts.

And I spotted a couple of Volvos!

Try to learn life's bad lessons vicariously through others.

Me too, but always with places I've been or lived in.
