2007 V70 rough, noisy ride solved Topic is solved

Hi Everyone,
Like many folks I was puzzled and annoyed by a stiff, noisy ride esp at slower speeds on normal, irregular road surfaces.

I was on a set of "V" rated fancy brand tires. Through happy accident they were replaced with "H" rated, same brand.

Huge improvement! The ride is more supple, quiet - no downside, for my way of driving at least

As soon as my 235/45/17 tires wear out, I'm going back to 16 incher's. As a long time resident of SE Pa., the roads are awful. The sad part is that after repairs are made to damaged roads, the transitions from the repair to the existing road slams hard with my 17" wheels. All after repairs are made.
Around here, everyone drives SUV's and pickup trucks.

Side story, About a month ago, I saw an oil leak on the drivers side of the engine leaking down to the driveway. Not seeing anything from up top in the engine bay, I took it over to my Volvo guys to find out where the oil was coming from.
They called and said the engine was fine, but your struts are leaking. They said both struts were leaking so bad that it left oil on the floor at their shop.
Our S60 2.5t awd looks good with 17" Amalthea wheels, but when the tires wear out, they are gone!
