P0455 is EVAP leak. Check the hoses coming out of the charcoal filter in front of the right rear wheel. There is one that makes a 90 degree bend and is prone to cracking where it connects to the filter box.

Thank you to everyone who has replied and helped me with this issue. I got the suspension checked and the passenger side front suspension is a bit overly rusted but the real culprit is the calipers. I took both wheels off on jacks and had a helper turn the wheel and push the brakes. With the brakes fully pushed down, the right side rotor can be spun with just my hands, and the left side rotor remains tight.

I have ordered new calipers and i will update on Wednesday or when I have time after work to install them. Thanks everyone!!! Hope this solves my issue for goodish

Okay! Its been a bit. Drove the car down 300Mi to campus on the 17th and had a f*cking blast doing it. Such a fun car to drive. Fast forward to now, classes are about to start and I've been slaving away at work. In the late hours of the night after wrestling with seized lugnuts, mislabeled parts, and a parking lot sloped at 30 degrees, I finally replaced the drivers side caliper and MAN... what a change. The jerking is almost completely gone and the brakes are a lot more responsive.

I noticed that the brake line was absolutely dry rotted to the point that you can see the tubing underneath the rubber housing, and while I do have a replacement, the connection to the brake system back behind the coil was so rusted it looked like it was smeared with dogshit. I dont want to rish=k So in typical college student fashion I said screw that and sprayed it with some WD-40 in case I come back to it soon.

But yeah! I'm very excited that the car is slowly becoming more full of life again. Thank you to everyone who gave me great advice and suggestions to help me figure this out. Next on the docket is that damn evap leak. Ill be ordering a new EVAP Canister Hose because Ive got a spare purge valve. I believe that the 98' GLT has the canister in the front drivers side wheel well? That would explain the gas smell in the car when the AC is set to pull outside air :D

Glad it is now a good driver.
Replace all the brake hoses if they are that old. Flush all the old brake fluid if not already done. A major brake hose failure will leave you with little braking power.
Don't worry about the Evap leak except for the gas smell.
