Easy fix is:

- Remove broken pieces and spring. The hatch and lock will work normally without them. They are there to trigger the open sensor, nothing mission critical.
- Defeat the open light/sensor by pinning the microswitch shut.

All works fine now, no cost, but you lose the hatch warning function.

Remove broken bits.
