If I were in better health, the herd was thinned and these were closer. Using the Lot Number from Copart I use search on Salvage Reseller to get larger photos and VIN.

Typical dash pad and tan interior stuff, along with clear coat failure.
Way north by the PA line.

Looks like it sold, but MAN look at that V70, the color, the paint. Just wow.

When I was a teen there was a father and grown son duo with a fantastic shop down the alley. They bought and rehabbed interesting cars as a hobby. They found a Triumph Stagg with a blown V8 (not a rare occurrence, they had terrible oiling design) and swapped in a real Buick Pontiac 215 V8 with low miles. Small 4 barrel carb, new exhaust, and that thing was reliable, fast, and sounded great.

The regular swap was a Rover V8 for the Stag for many years. Now the issues are better understood for the 3liter original engine, the engines can be made to be reliable, and it the UK much more valuable.

You mean the Triumph V8? I never knew why they didn't just use the Rover engine. That Triumph V8 was two Triumph fours joined in a V, and the worst thing was it had multiple 90 degree oil paths through the crankshaft, and the crank bearings never got enough oil.

The TR8 was the Rover block, correct?
