Such a bummer.

My wife’s little brother was paralyzed (para only) in HS when he flipped a Toyota Land Cruiser on black ice. Very very difficult on her parents, years of guilt I think. He went on to school, and had a long career at Hewlett-Packard, taking work trips to Europe and California. Retired now. It’s a tough life, you never get a break from it.

I'm sorry to hear that. Sounds like he had a good career at HP, good for him. Teens and cars scares the $%# out of me, and my son is about to enter that world in about a year when he and his friends turn 16. I really don't want this, but it's impossible to avoid, like trying to stop a flood.

All my ladies are now past the years of fearlessness but watching them strap on Volvo armor at 16 and thanking matt for MvS for keeping those Swedes running still makes my heat warm. So far, I’m the only one who has tested Volvo armor but that’s good too.
