Interference engine in ‘98 V90, Canada?

A ‘98 V90 popped up for sale here in Canada. Serpentine belt broke, won’t turn over with new belt. Haven’t seen the car yet. Found the post in here about a ‘97 with a broken serpentine belt that damaged the timing belt. Whether it’s the serpentine or timing belt that’s bad, does anyone know if these came with various engines in Canada or if there was only one? Is there a chance it’s a non-interference engine? Asking $800, depending on condition it might even be worth throwing a motor in it, but I said “never again” after my last engine swap Would be a steal if it was just a belt, given the still high used prices here.
