Yes, a few TR7s and the TR8 used the aluminum GM engine; I no longer remember which one, one of the three versions used a different head - Pontiac maybe ? That Triumph V8 was two Triumph fours joined in a V, and the worst thing was it had multiple 90 degree oil paths through the crankshaft, and the crank bearings never got enough oil.
