The 4T65EV-GT was 'rebuilt' a couple of years back using the droop method and going through the driver's wheel well. Recently the car has been stuck in limp home mode. In the process of troubleshooting I've cleaned the Trans and engine module connectors using DEOXIT, along with all the related connectors and grounds in the vicinity that I can find. The scan says shift solenoids aren't working, but the latest is that if I back up then move forward quickly it will spend about a half a second in 1st then a half a second in 2nd, then stay in 3rd forevermore. My question, is this normal behavior when the shift solenoids go bad or does this mean it is a different issue? Like low line pressure or bad CAN BUS communication? If so how would I test for that?
Thanks!
