07 Caliper Bolt Question

Post by b4sennett »

Hello all,
I have a '07 XC90. I'm trying to remove the calipers and it has a weird bolt holding them on. It appears it should be a T55, but my T55 is too big and T50 is too small. I took a pic to get a better look at it and it is definitely different. Can anyone tell me what this is and what I need to do to remove it?
Thanks!

Do you have a zoom-out photo of the area of concern?

The corrosion might be keeping the T55 from fully fitting properly. Try gently tapping it to see if it will go in fully.

Those Internal Torx bolts hold the 2 halves of the caliper together. Don't touch these bolts when doing the usual brake job...
