Do replacement seatbelt tensioners need programming? 07 V50 2.4i FWD

Post by dudeitssm »

Continuing the deer hit-and-run saga from here, now that the car is up and running (yay!):
viewtopic.php?t=105273

All 4 of my seatbelts and tensioners need replacing.

Question is: should I buy used off eBay, or should I get my current locked-up ones rebuilt by sellers on eBay?

Does anyone know for a fact if replacement seatbelt tensioners, which have yellow terminals (I assume SRS module activated), require programming to be used properly in another car?

Mine is a 2007 Volvo V50 2.4i FWD.

Thank you.

UPDATE: according to one seller I reached out to on eBay, he stated that typically they do need programming... Again, he's not sure.

Is there someone here who can confirm if indeed seatbelt tensioners need programming on this model?

Alternative, if programming is possible via VIDA DICE, does anyone have a guide?

Thanks again.
