What is the best way to clean these bits and pieces (probably bugs) inside tail light?
Thanks!

There must be a hole in the lens or reflector to let in bugs. The lamp holder piece maybe isn’t fitting tightly? Not sure how you’d get a q tip down to that area from the lamp hole…?
Take the light assembly completely off to examine it.

Since it was cracked on the 02 V70 XC, I sliced the side opened wide enough to get a tooth brush in there. Otherwise you'll have to remove and just fill with soap and water and shake vigorously. It was pretty dirty and fill with water and sediment. The silver had also oxidized by the water and was black a little ways up. Initially drill a small hole on the right edge to let the water out thinking I might be able to hose through the crack while on the car. Removing that required some work if I remember. It's been months but I still have not put all the panels in the trunk back as I was more hoping to clean the entire interior and under the panels.

I had good results removing the bulb assembly and pointing my Harbor Freight shop vac wand in there as far as it’ll go. The bugs are pretty light when they are dry and crispy.
