Hi
This is totally a a gimmie post - but whatever-
I have three VEA 2.0 engines torn apart- all have this balancer shaft module on the bottom.
I have vida 2014d, and I swear i have looked and looked but YET to find the specific instructions for putting this thing together correctly on the engine.
I have seen a few different forum posts on different sites-
one guy vaguely talks about using the lifting eye and a feeler gauge to get it set on the block where it's supposed to be- https://www.swedespeed.com/threads/4-cy ... up.653222/
another guy mentions " Set plug to put balance shadt to tdc spot. When replacing you move it all the way forward, if i remember right set dial indicator to 0 and lightly tap balance shaft towards rear of engine into spec of like .20-.23mm. Then torque and donedone." https://www.swedespeed.com/threads/4-cy ... up.653222/
anyways- i was wanting to see if i could bum the current vida instructions on this. I have the new vida on my computer but i'm a cheap buzzard and i'm not ready to break and pay the $100 to use it for three days.
i'm mainly needing to know what position the engine has to be (does it need to be?) when the balancer shaft box goes on.
how to align the balancer shaft box properly on the engine.
and do the balancer shafts have to be set to their own sort of top dead center/ rotated a certain way?
I've been looking for a while but no one has concise instructions on this ridiculousness.
anyone have vida instructions for balancer shafts ?
