Engine rattling noise on V70 1999 B5254S (video) Topic is solved

Hi!

Can you help me diagnose rattling sound on 1999 V70, 2.4 121kw (B5254S) engine. Removing serpentine belt did not help, replacing all 20 hydraulic lifters did not help also. Im thinking it could be rod bearing or DMF.

It does sound like rod knock but it isn’t coming at the right place. Rod knock is worst when you lift the throttle.

Thanks, Im thinking also, sound like it, but not quite like it X D. Will drop oil pan this weekend and touch rod bearings and piston pins

So, theres is some play on cylinder 2 rod bearing...

Can I get away just replacing all rod bearings? What issues there may occur...
