No PS Pump Coupled to Water Pump, 2011 XC70 T6

Post by pinegrovedave »

OK,

So now that I've determined the source of my coolant leak, after removing the air box and battery cradle, looks like a straight shot at the water pump to me. I would imaging I still have to at least loosen the AC compressor to remove the serpentine and pulleys, yes? The confusion I have is that I see a ton of info/vids on water pump replacement involving the PS pump that is coupled to the water pump...And then I read little pieces of info stating that perhaps my model has an electric PS pump and no special tools needed? Just trying to get as much info before I tear into this project without any surprises. Pic looks like a water pump to me and the leak is behind the pulley...
