sunroof, roof lights and door locks stop working
I have a 2000 S80 T6. After disconnecting the battery, sunroof, overhead lights and door locks stopped working. I have reviewed numerous posts on this site concerning this and have tried various suggestions, including locking and unlocking 3 times (the locks do not go up and down), disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it with the key in position II, removing the theft siren fuse, locking the doors and opening them from the inside to set off the alarm (no alarm sounds and the headlights do not flash). None of these has worked. The fuses are fine.

Last thing
Diconnect the battery for 20-30 minutes (only the "-" plug)
Lock/unlock FIVE times.
p.s. Did you try whith a new fuse? Sometimes the fuses looks OK but are actually went bad...

I disconnected the negative battery cable, left it off for 45 minutes, then turned the ingition key to position II and reconnected the battery. I used the key in the driver's door, locked/unlocked five times. Still nothing works. I also used a new fuse. When I turn the key in the door, nothing is happening (no click or movement of the lock knob).

I would look at fuse # 27 to see if it is blown. It is the fuse that power the driver door module and passenger door module. In your case the fuse number may be different because you have an early model. Look on the back of the fuse panel for identification. This may explain the door lock problem. It would be a good idea to test them all (fuses). From say, #25 up to #38 with the help of an ohmmeter. Also look at their conditions (any deformation signs).

The sunroof and roof lights issues are normally associated with a failed siren module. If the module is original it should be replaced. In the meantime you can remove power to the module with fuse #38. To learn more about the siren module problems consults the following thread.

If you can't find any blown fuses you can do the following. Follow your procedure to disconnect the negative lead at the battery and with the disconnected lead touch the positive post for more than 5 seconds. This will clear modules memories. Last, if it can't be fixed this way, have your car scanned by Vida-Dice to pin-point the problem.

I took it to the dealer for another repair. They fixed the problem. I have been out of town and haven't gotten to look at the repair notes, but I will report back when I find out what they did. Thanks to everyone for all the help!

The dealer says that the driver's side door lock latch was loose causing the door not to lock, which somehow affected the sunroof and lights. Reconnecting the door latch to the door lock assembly fixed the problem .
I had the same issue dome light and center lock wasnt working. I tried all the solution including cem service. Program reset but all those solutions didnt worked for me. I had the issue for 7 months.
Then i found the exact issue location by mistake. I had to replace my boot . Then suddenly everything worked perfectly. So the issue is from the boot lid sensor.
Thank you members i got so many solutions from this threads. And this is a chace to serve you back.

fixed it. I had the same issue for long time. I tried all the treads about this fault but there wasnt any solution or fix . But then I had to replace the boot. Then it fixed the issue the dome light not poering center lock not workingand doorlight keep on. But then some how i replaced the player. While doing that problem came back then i noticed exact issue is with the a/c control panel socket. Then i removed and plugged it several times. It fixed the issue. Solution 1 check a/c control panel sockets below the player. Solution 2 check the boot lid sensor . Thank you all. Love from Sri Lanka.
