Issue with 2012 Volvo V70

Hello,
I have a 2012 Volvo V70. Car started to shake really bad and smelled burnt. It also sounded like not running on all 5 cylinders. On startup it used to rev to 1500 rpm and then lower to Idle rmp (800 rpm) but now it goes to maybe 900-1000 rpm and then to 800. The shaking is pretty bad on Idle. Steering wheel is shaking visibly and the exhaust pipe too. I repaired the pcv but it didn't solve the problem. Changing plugs didn't make a difference but the old ones were black. It seems to be running rich. There is a strong smell of gas when starting the car. I have heard that blowing a headgasket is rare on these cars, but could it be that. Or vacuum leak?

Hi Harold, and welcome to MVS. You have posted in the wrong forum section for your P3 model. This is the P80 (93-04) cars.

You may get better traction in there. Just do a copy/paste into that section.

Is your car throwing any engine check light codes? If you have the light on but no way of testing, some of the parts places can read the codes for you. If you get them post those back to us and we can try to help better from there.
