Recently purchased the above vehicle with known coolant burning issue.
120 to 130 psi on cylinders
#1 plug cleaner then the test
#1 piston top cleaner as well.
no oil coolant
no coolant in oil
No noise from turbo
Vida doesn't show any misfires
When purchased, I was thinking HG or worse case cracked cylinder liner. Not so sure of that now.
Found engine from an 07 for $600 from local yard.
Not sure of a direction to go right now. Does anyone have any?
Thank you
Craig

Test for combustion byproducts in coolant before swapping engine.

Many 2.5T engines consumes a bit of coolant here and there. Mine drinks 1/2 cup every 5K.

Drinks coolant like a drunken sailor. And starts immediately upon startup, which is quick.
