First, I know the real fix is replacing the dashboard. I don't have the motivation to replace an otherwise-fine dashboard on a 24 year old car.
As I am sure has happened to many before me, the plastic inside the defrost vents below the windshield in my 2001 S80 have embrittled in the sun and broken. When I picked them off the dashboard, they further shattered in my hands. I don't think gluing it back together will work. In a stroke of Swedish Genius, this plastic is not a separate part from the dashboard.
Does something exist, aftermarket, DIY, 3D printed, anything, that can replace these plastic pieces? With the plastic gone, the edge of the dashboard foam is exposed to the defrost airflow, so I would like to use something as a replacement for the plastic.
If you are fortunate enough to not know what I am talking about, the plastic piece is circled in the attached image I found online.

My 2001 V70 has the vent cracked as well. This car has been in the South and not garaged most of it's life. Previous owner tried some dark glue on the cracks. I don't touch it.

Same problem here with my 2001 T6 project. Dude who sold it to me left it in the sun for 4 years and the plastics in the dash and in the rear parcel shelf have perished like the guy who drank from the wrong chalice in the last crusade.
I was not aware they were a fixed part of the dash though : /
