How do you get the d**n bulbs out? MCC, Volvo 850 '97
The lights are broken on mine, I found a video by Robert saying to unscrew this and that and so far that worked and I could see two bulbs in sockets, but I can't get the bulbs out! I can twist them in their sockets and rotate them but it doesn't want to let the bulb out. Driving me nuts...

Can you post a picture? I have not had a MCC unit apart yet, but taken plenty of other parts to bits to replace bulbs.

I only have V/S70 MCC units and they are as seen in Robert DIY's video. I think those bulbs on the inside may be soldered in. They may also be micro wedge bulbs that may pull out but I don't want to break them to prove a point.
Unfortunately I don't have an 850 MCC unit to look at, so perhaps a picture or 2 may help figure out how they come out (if they do).
If the bulbs on the switch assembly are not removeable, if you look around, although Volvo list the part number as retired, you can find it elsewhere in Europe. Volvo part # 6802438
The 2 other bulbs are these: Volvo part # 3524511

Can't tell how those are removed as Robert's video does not show how you access the rear of the panel to remove these. They have a small slot for a small flat blade screwdriver and you rotate then CCW about 90 degrees and they should come out. They can be a little tricky to get out but they will.

I have figured it out, it's dark every day I get home and I have to work by shoddy lights but I found plastic tabs holding a circuit board in place. Remove that board and the lamps are easy to remove! You can see photos in this german forum

Well done! They are the same bulbs used for the later S/V 70 MCC units.
Glad you managed to get it figured out, and it sucks living in the north this time of year as it gets dark so early.
