C70 Subframe Bolts on 850 w/o Horseshoe Brace Topic is solved

Hi all,

Long time lurker here but have never posted. I'm looking to replace the subframe in my 850R with a C70 convertible subframe, though I don't have the horseshoe brace. I just want to confirm that since I'm not installing the brace, I can use the same size bolts as my 850 originally had (100mm? https://www.ipdusa.com/products/8858/12 ... shing-bolt)

My understanding is that the brace is the part that requires the extra 20mm of the bolt, but the subframe itself can mount directly onto the 850 with no additional hardware.

Correct. Same hardware unless adding the brace, then the rear two get the longer bolts. I'd highly suggest adding that brace while you're at it though - it stiffens up the car nicely

It would be a challenge to ship, but if anyone needs the C70 sub-frame brace pair I have a set. I got them for the R before discovering you can't fit them to an AWD P80 due to the prop-shaft center support bearing using the mounting holes the main brace uses.
